Sales to Ecuador

Building this new greenfield international airport in Quito represents a $534.5 million investment in Ecuador by Canadian, American and Brazilian stakeholders. Through CCC, the project is being led by Toronto’s Aecon Construction Group Inc.—Canada’s largest publicly traded construction firm.

In February 2013, CCC and Aecon successfully completed and delivered on a contract for a new international airport in Quito. Construction of the airport project began in 2005 and employed over 2000 local employees. The management of this complex and dynamic capital project required robust risk mitigation and active contract monitoring by CCC as prime contractor to ensure that the project moved forward in a changing political landscape in Ecuador. The successful completion of the New Quito International Airport is viewed by CCC as a best practice in its infrastructure sector efforts worldwide, in large part due to the tremendous commitment of all project stakeholders to international standards of CSR and construction norms.

Building on growing interest in government-to-government transactions, CCC is engaging with other South American countries—such as Argentina, Colombia and Chile—to bring them Canada’s best solutions and services.
