CCC will be participating in the Caribbean and South American Security forum (CABSEC) and the South America Security summit (SAMSEC) from March 15-17, 2016 at the Naval Club in Cartagena, Colombia.
CABSEC is an annual event which focuses on countering transnational organised crime through the enhancement of maritime security capabilities. This year, CABSEC will be co-located with SAMSEC and offers delegations from around the world excellent opportunities to network and share industry knowledge.
Co-hosted by the Colombian Navy, the conference benefits from the participation of senior officers including; the Commander of the Colombian Navy, Head of Operations, Director of DIMAR, Head of Naval Intelligence, Commander of the Fleet, Commander of the Caribbean Fleet, Commandant of the Marine Corps, as well as many other senior government officials. In addition, the event will feature a robust speakers program of over 30 visiting experts such as Vice Admiral Edwin Dominici, Deputy Minister of Defense for Naval and Coastal Affairs, Dominican Republic, Vice Admiral Alberto Acosta, Inspector General, Venezuelan Navy, and Major General Felix Edgardo, Chief of Defence, Armed Forces of El Salvador, among many others.
