CCC, L3Harris Technologies to Repair U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Aircraft

July 3, 2024

Ottawa, CANADA – CCC is pleased to announce a new contract with the United States Department of Defense (U.S. DoD) worth up to $22 million USD for aircraft repair services provided by L3Harris Technologies to the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS). In collaboration with CCC, L3Harris will repair WESCAM MXTM-Series electro-optical/infrared sensors (EO/IR) used in P-8A maritime patrol aircraft operated by the U.S. Navy, and in KC-130J aerial refueling aircraft operated by the U.S. Marine Corps.

In collaboration with CCC, L3Harris will repair WESCAM MX-Series electro-optical/infrared sensors operated by the USN and USMC.

WESCAM MX-Series imaging systems allow the air crew to detect, track, and identify objects or targets during medium-altitude covert surveillance, reconnaissance, and search and rescue missions.

Among L3Harris’ many offerings, the company is a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair & overhaul (MR&O) services, supporting large fleets of military aircraft both in the United States and Canada. The Global Optical Systems sector, headquartered in Waterdown, Ontario, specializes in the production and maintenance of EO/IR systems used in a wide range of aircraft, including the P-8A and the KC-130J.

NAVSUP WSS is the U.S DoD agency tasked with supporting the weapon systems to ensure maximum mission readiness for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Through CCC’s contract, NAVSUP WSS will have access to L3Harris’ Waterdown facility, which is staffed by factory-trained technicians that provide the most complex system repairs.

CCC is the designated contracting authority for U.S. DoD purchases from Canada encompassing over USD $250,000. Through its U.S. DoD Prime Contractor service, CCC supports Canadian businesses like L3Harris to supply the U.S. DoD with made-in-Canada solutions.
