Ottawa, CANADA – CCC is pleased to announce it was awarded a 5-year indefinite quantity contract by the United States Department of Defense (U.S. DoD) for aircraft parts to be delivered by Magellan Aerospace. The components for Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters will be supplied to the aviation branch of the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA Aviation).
Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Magellan Aerospace is a global aerospace company with offices and facilities across Canada, the United States, Europe, and India. The company designs, engineers, and manufactures complex systems for commercial and military aircraft, and products for defence and space agencies worldwide. It also offers engine repair and overhaul services.
The aircraft parts acquired by DLA Aviation will be supplied by Magellan’s Winnipeg facility, in Manitoba. DLA Aviation is the demand and supply manager for the United States Army, which operates a fleet of Black Hawk helicopters around the globe.
CCC is the designated contracting authority for U.S. DoD purchases from Canada over USD $250,000. Through its U.S. DoD Prime Contractor service, CCC supports Canadian businesses like Magellan Aerospace to supply the U.S. DoD with made-in-Canada solutions. To date, CCC and Magellan Aerospace have collaborated on contracts with the U.S. military worth over $500 million (CAD).
