The Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) is pleased to welcome Guy Desrochers as the newest member of its Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee. The appointment was announced today by the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for CCC.
Mr. Desrochers has worked with the leaders of some of Canada’s largest employers – including Quebecor Media, Molson Coors Beverage Company, Bombardier, and Pratt & Whitney Canada – to help them identify risk and mitigation strategies. He is recognized for his strong contribution to growing company value through increased operational efficiency and enlightened governance.
Mr. Desrochers holds several professional designations, namely CPA, CMA, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), and CRMA (Certified Risk Management Assurance). As the chair of CCC’s Audit Committee, Mr. Desrochers’ extensive expertise in corporate risk management, ethics, and the assessment of control environments will be important assets in the Corporation’s governance.
The appointment of Mr. Desrochers to CCC’s Board of Directors is the result of an open, transparent and merit-based selection process developed to attract high-quality candidates while reflecting gender parity and Canada’s diversity. As a Board member, he will serve a term of up to four years to provide oversight and direction to CCC and oversee its strategic development to serve Canadian businesses better.
