CCC welcomes Mylène Tassy to the Board of Directors

Ottawa, CANADA CCC is pleased to welcome Mylène Tassy as the newest member of its Board of Directors. The appointment was announced today by the Minister responsible for CCC, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development. 

Mylène is an engineer with two engineering degrees from McGill University: Environmental and agricultural engineering and mechanical engineering with a minor in management. She also has an MBA from the University of Cumbria in the United Kingdom. After more than 20 years in the Aerospace industry Mylène has successfully transitioned to the automotive industry. Mylène’s current focus is with Nova Bus of the Volvo group, responsible for the Sales, Bids and proposals, Product planning, market strategy, marketing teams and recently shared responsibilities for the program management teams. Her considerable executive experience will be an important asset to CCC’s Board of Directors. 

The appointment of Mylène Tassy to CCC’s Board is the result of an open, transparent and merit-based selection process developed to attract high-quality candidates while reflecting gender parity and Canada’s diversity. As a Board member, she will serve a term of up to four years to provide oversight and direction to CCC, and oversee its strategic development to serve Canadian businesses better.

  • CCC is governed by a Board of Directors whose representatives come primarily from the private sector.  
  • Board members are appointed by the Government of Canada, and report to Parliament through the Minister of international trade. 
  • CCC adheres to all guidelines and regulations concerning the management and governance of Crown corporations set by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Each year, CCC submits an Annual Report to demonstrate its performance against a Corporate Plan as well as to report on its operating budget.
