Today, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for CCC, announced the appointment of Doug Harrison for another term as chairperson of the Canadian Commercial Corporation’s (CCC’s) Board of Directors.
Doug Harrison is an experienced Corporate Director within a broad range of business sectors. In addition to his CCC role, he currently serves on the Boards of Superior Plus Corp (TSX:SPB), Metro Supply Chain Group Inc. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of Ardenton Capital, and Carlson Construction Group Inc. In the past, he served on the Boards of the (Ontario) Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), The Conference Board of Canada, Hamilton Utilities Corporation, Horizon Utilities (now Alectra), Mohawk College and was Chair of the Board of Directors of Livingston International.
Mr. Harrison was first appointed to CCC’s Board of Directors in 2018 by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Trade, following an open, transparent and merit-based selection process. His proven leadership and management experience will continue to be tremendous assets to CCC. As chair, he will continue to provide oversight and direction to CCC, and oversee its strategic development to help Canadian business succeed abroad.
