The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, today announced the signing, at the World Nuclear Exhibition, in Paris, of a 3-way contract between the Canadian Commercial Corporation, Societatea Națională Nuclearelectrica SA and AtkinsRéalis to support the work to extend the life of the Unit 1 CANDU reactor at the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant, in Romania.

CCC, AtkinsRéalis to extend CANDU reactor life in Romania

Candu Energy Inc., an AtkinsRéalis company [SNC-Lavalin Group Inc.] (TSX: ATRL) and the Canadian Commercial Corporation (“CCC”), a federal Crown corporation, have received an award letter from Nuclearelectrica S.A. (SNN) to provide engineering, technology and procurement of tooling and reactor components in support of the life extension of SNN’s Unit 1 CANDU® reactor at the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant in Romania. Valued at approximately $750 million, the contract will build on a series of earlier pre-project contracts for AtkinsRéalis in Romania.

CCC, StandardAero win contract to repair U.S. Navy engines

CCC is pleased to announce that it was awarded a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for up to $13.8 million USD for StandardAero to overhaul and repair 250-KS4 marine gas turbine (MGT) engines designed and manufactured by Rolls Royce Marine North America (RRMNA) aboard U.S. Navy DDG 51 Class ships.
